I have my own "paint" story!

I call this my "paint" story because not long ago Ethan's teacher told me a story of when her boys were little and she came home one night to a spray of fluorescent yellow paint all over her living room. She was telling me this to let me know that she really does understand what it is to be a mother of boys! Her kindness and understanding has meant so much to me and now I think she'll laugh when I tell her my own "paint" story:

This afternoon Elliott came out of his room during rest time to ask if it was time to get up (this is an everyday occurrence even though he can read the clock in his room - ya know, just in case we've changed our minds about the time). We said no and then he said "It smells like powder up here!" Thought that was strange for one second but then I smelled it too. I told him to open Ethan's door and see what he was doing. After a few quiet words were exchanged upstairs Elliott came running back out saying "Ethan has powder all over his room!!!!" And so it was. When I first went up I saw him standing in the doorway covered in powder....I had to laugh a little, but I couldn't see his room. I went back down to get my camera (of course) and when I got back up there his room was in full view. What a MESS!!! I couldn't believe he could make such a big mess. There was a fog of powder (still is 7 hours later) - seriously it was foggy in here. And not only had he had fun with the powder but thought the travel sized baby shampoo, lotion and baby bath would be fun to dump on the carpet also.

So if anyone knows how to get shampoo and lotion out of carpet let us know!
